There are two reasons for another post about ExpanDrive:
- I found a coupon code that gives $10 off the usual $39.95 price, which is valid at the time of this post, but could expire at any time: 6NI1DW5ZKW233HYI
- Another utility MacFusion appears to be very similar to ExpanDrive (MacFUSE does the heavy lifting for both) but is free.
Perhaps one day, Apple will build this functionality into the Finder... Also, I notice that there is a version of ExpanDrive for Windows too, so I guess Windows Explorer doesn't support SFTP/FTP out of the box either (not that I know or care about that).

Thought I'd give MacFusion a go, but although everything looked great to start with as soon as I tried to copy a new file to the server it gave up - some sort of permissions issue I guess...
Think I'll stick to Cyberduck - it's faster (once connected), close enough to Finder for me and the fact that it supports quick look is the icing on the cake.
I've read that MacFusion isn't (or wasn't) as reliable as the alternatives (including ExpanDrive and Cyberduck). I used to use Cyberduck, but although it now supports Quicklook, it still doesn't integrate as seamlessly as ExpanDrive (which has QuickLook, CoverFlow, in fact everything a normal Finder window has). Why be 'close enough' to Finder when you can just have Finder?
Because I'm a tight arse (I've already paid for Cyberduck)...
Erm... isn't Cyberduck free?
OK, so it's donationware, but I donated...
@Gruntfuggly: Tight as a cyberducks arse?
I am with Chris on this one though, I got fed up with Cyberduck and demoed both Transmit and ExpanDrive, I stuck with ExpanDrive because I just forgot that I was even using it.
